This piece is so beautiful. The 37 minutes really got me too (I have about the same amount every morning!!) and so much of what you describe here I felt in my bones.

I love love love finding that connection to something bigger than you amongst the trees. It’s a feeling I know well, too! Also, I don’t know where you live but this evoked images of Forest Park in Portland for me, in case you’ve ever been there 🥰

Ha, not Forest Park, but Mt. Tabor. Portland does have special trees, doesn't it? Are you in Portland??

This was so beautiful. I too struggle to figure out just how I should be entangled with my own family, without losing too much of myself. And I too wonder often what it would look like to "let go" and let a Higher Power handle things. When is this Higher Power going to deposit the groceries I need on my doorstep? But then I remembered that this sort of happened, once. And maybe that was a clue.

In any case, I think that if we are going to find this HP, it will be among the trees, just as you say. Whether they are literal or figurative ones.
