Not having to go to Chuck E Cheese birthday parties was the best thing about the pandemic. And I don’t like pancakes either:)

Kerala! This cracked me up. And men who think we’re cute!! Uggggg. I so resonate. Also turtlenecks. Not a fan. yay for middle-age. It’s certainly not what we have been told it would be.

I relate so deeply to much of this... the crowds piece intensely! If I’m truly honest with myself, the kids don’t have the best time in huge crowds either. More restrictions, stress, waiting, etc. Put us on a hike any day, then a chill outdoor hangout with music where they can run around. Cheers to the 40s! (I’m almost There)

Hiking, YES! It's free, healthy, beautiful and oh-so-good for all of us. We are blessed to have a hike-able forest within walking distance of our urban home, and I always remark to my partner how I can see my kids' brain chemistry changing as soon as we enter the woods.

Alas, I wish there were more chill outdoor multigenerational hangouts in our life. These generally seem to be on the decline. I organized a lovely block party in our neighborhood a while back and keep hoping someone else will step up to organize the next one ;)

Crowds! Completely agree. I’m still unsure about pancakes. In this decade, for myself, I realize that I’m not a fan of cake.

Same! I mean, I'll eat cake if someone hands it to me, and I'll definitely enjoy it. But given a choice of desserts, cake would rank pretty low.
